In the world of protecting my system only the best will do so we have selected ESET NOD32 as our choice (we now run exclusively NOD32 on all machines - previously we used a mix of NOD32 on most machines with Kaspersky and CA on a select few for the past year, the latter two despite their effectiveness did not meet the standard ESET set for low impact on system resource usage.
